According to the pigment depth and spot size of sparrow spot, the thick, medium and fine flat headed fire needles were selected respectively. In general, large freckles use thick flat head fire needle, small freckles use small flat head fire needle, and the rest use medium flat head fire needle. Before acupuncture, the local anesthesia of the lesion was carried out by using ephedrine powder or other epidermal local anesthetic drugs. Then burn the needle red on the alcohol lamp, point at the freckles and prick quickly, and the spot will become gray white scab. The temperature of fire needle should be controlled flexibly according to age and skin firmness. The treatment temperature of children freckles is slightly lower than that of adults, and the temperature of treating senile dark freckles higher than skin is higher than that of middle-aged and young people. The intensity of needling should be large in color depth and slow in dot pricking; the intensity of light color should be small and the speed of pricking should be fast. The scab fell off after about two weeks. The skin may be reddish within a week after shedding, but it can turn to normal after one week without leaving any good traces. Course of treatment: freckles are divided into light, medium and severe. Light color is light and scattered, such as sesame seeds large, general treatment can be done once; moderate spots have yellow, black, brown and other colors, gathered in the nose, face density is not big, should be treated 2-3 times; severe freckles, spots of different sizes, almost cover the normal skin, can be divided (that is, multiple) and batch treatment (that is, first prick the large spots, then small and medium spots). For those who have been treated with fire needle, they are advised to reexamine the scab 20-30 days after the scab falls off, and to re prick some left over ones.
