Fever, shortness of breath and persistent dry cough. In particular, a study has shown that drinking green tea can reduce the risk of dying from pneumonia.

About 40000 people aged 40 to 79 were followed up for 12 years to explore the relationship between green tea consumption and the risk of death from pneumonia. During the follow-up period, 406 people died of pneumonia. Taking into account age, physical function, smoking habits and other factors that might affect the risk of pneumonia, the researchers concluded that women who drank only one cup of green tea a day had a 41% lower risk of dying from pneumonia than the others.

The researchers believe that the link between drinking green tea and the risk of death from pneumonia may be due to substances in green tea that destroy or inhibit the growth of viruses and microorganisms.
