Principle of flash tank

After the high-pressure saturated liquid enters the relatively low-pressure container, due to the sudden decrease of pressure, these saturated liquids become part of the saturated steam and saturated liquid under the container pressure.

Function of flash tank

Flash tank is an important energy-saving device, which is often used for boiler blowdown and waste heat recovery of superheated condensate. Superheated condensate or boiler blowdown water enters the flash tank along the tangent line. According to the fluid two-phase flow and eddy current separation theory, after the expansion in the tank, the pressure decreases and flash steam will be generated in the tank. It can be introduced into the low-pressure steam pipeline or the medium-pressure pipeline after pressurization through the ejector to enter the heat equipment and heat the materials, so as to reuse the original low-quality heat energy.

Flash occurs in the pipeline system, which is easy to cause cavitation damage to the valve. The anti cavitation high-pressure valve can be selected, which is characterized by multiple throttling to share the differential pressure, or cavitation erosion resistant materials can be selected.
