What are the customs of the De'ang people

The customs of De'ang Nationality include: water sprinkling Festival, door closing Festival, door opening Festival, pendulum making, burning white firewood, etc. The water sprinkling Festival is an annual traditional festival of the De'ang Nationality. It lasts for 3 days on the 7th day after the Qingming Festival every year. The closing day starts on September 15 of the Dai calendar (mid June of the lunar calendar) and lasts for three months. The De'ang ethnic group, also known as the 'avalong Ethnic Group', is a mountain minority in the border area between China and Myanmar. The national language belongs to the wa De'ang branch of the mon Khmer ethnic group of the South Asian language family, which is divided into three dialects, 'Bure', 'Rumai' and 'ruojin'.

The De'ang people do not have their own language. Because they have been living with Dai, Han, Jingpo and other nationalities for a long time, many people know Dai, Chinese and Jingpo.

De'ang Nationality mainly lives in the border area between China and Myanmar. It is a typical ethnic group with large dispersion and small settlement, with a wide range of distribution. (DeAngZuYouShenMeXiSu)
