Why was it called Kyushu in ancient China?

In ancient China, it was called Kyushu because in the past, the Han region was divided into nine parts: Jizhou, Yanzhou, Qingzhou, Xuzhou, Yangzhou, Jingzhou, Yuzhou, Liangzhou and Yongzhou. Later, two states were divided into three states, so there was also the saying of twelve states.
