How to climb Mount Fuji? The best route to Mount Fuji in Japan

Mount Fuji is an active volcano that spans between Shizuoka Prefecture (Fuji Palace City, kiuno City, Fuji City, yudianchang City, koyamamachi, jundongjun) and Yamanashi Prefecture (Fujiyoshida City, MINDO village, nanduriu prefecture). What are the climbing routes of Mount Fuji?

There are four climbing routes to Mount Fuji, namely yoshidakou, xuzou, yudianchang and fujigongkou, which are open to the public during the climbing season.

1. Yoshidakou: it has the longest history. Wuhaimu is close to the top of the mountain, so it has the largest number of climbers, roadside cottages and commercial facilities. Wuhe target is 2305 meters high.

Take the central line in Shinjuku to Dayue, transfer to Fuji express, get off at Hekou lake and transfer to mountaineering bus.

Take the five purpose climbing bus to Hekou lake at Xikou, Shinjuku.

2. Must go: there is a large forest between wuhaimu and liuhemu. The target height of Wuhe is 2000 meters.

Take the Hokkaido line and transfer to the yudianchang line at guofujin. Get off at the yudianchang and transfer to the climbing bus at the entrance.

Take the Tokaido line, transfer to the yudianchang line at guofujin, and get off at matsutama to transfer to the climbing bus in the direction of entrance.

Take xiaotianji and get off at xinsongtian, then transfer to the climbing bus at the entrance.

3. The entrance of the Imperial Palace: it is the most difficult route. Wuhaimu is the farthest from the top of the mountain. When you go down the mountain, you can run along the big gravel slope, and you can observe Baoyong mountain from the side. Wuhe target is 1440 meters high.

Take the Hokkaido line and transfer to the yudianchang line at guofujin. Get off at yudianchang and transfer to the climbing bus at the entrance of yudianchang.

4. Fujimiyakou: wuhaimu is far from the top of the mountain, but there are many rocks, mainly tourists from Kansai and Nagoya. The target height of Wuhe is 2400 meters.

Take the Tokaido line, get off at New Fuji and transfer to the climbing bus in the direction of fujimiyako.

Take the Tokaido line, get off at Mishima and transfer to the climbing bus in the direction of fujimiyako.

Take the Tokaido line, transfer to the yudianchang line in guofujin, get off at the yudianchang and transfer to the climbing bus in the direction of fujimiyakou.

To reach Jianfeng, the highest peak of Mount Fuji at 3776 meters above sea level, you have to pass through horseback. There is a steep sand slope with cliffs on both sides. Due to the changeable weather on the top of the mountain, not everyone has a chance to reach it.
