Are there penguins in the Arctic? Which is colder in the north or South Pole?

When it's hot in summer, we think it would be nice to stay in the Arctic or Antarctic. Do you think penguins always live in the South Pole? Polar bear must live in the north pole, because it is called polar bear. Will there be penguins in the Arctic? Is it colder in the south pole or in the North Pole?

Is it cold in the Arctic or in the Antarctic

Judging from China's polar stations, the Antarctic is colder than the Arctic. At the Yellow River Station in the Arctic in summer, the snow in the Bay around the station has melted, and a large number of tundra plants have grown, and even some plants have blossomed; while around Zhongshan Station in Antarctica, the snow does not melt all the year round, with low temperature and few animals and plants.

The average temperature in the Arctic is about 10 degrees below zero, and the minimum temperature is 70 degrees below zero, while the average temperature in the south pole is about 30 degrees below zero and the minimum temperature is 90 degrees below zero. So, the south pole is really super cold, and the north pole is a little warmer than the South Pole. Why is the South Pole colder than the North Pole?

Why is the North Pole colder than the South Pole

First, it is affected by the difference of ocean thermal properties. The south pole is surrounded by land, which is less affected by the ocean; while there are many oceans around the Arctic, and the temperature difference is small, so the temperature is higher.

Second, it is affected by the current. There is a westerly drift near the south pole, which is a cold current. Therefore, the cold air near the South Pole will increase and the temperature will decrease; there will be a North Atlantic warm current near the north pole, which will bring warm air and make the temperature higher.

Third, the influence of altitude. The Antarctic is higher than the Arctic, so the temperature is lower. Fourth, human influence. There are many countries with frequent human activities near the Arctic, and no one lives near the South Pole.

Tips: we can only go to the north pole to see polar bears. Although the north pole is warmer than the south pole, it is still very cold for human beings, so we should pay attention to keep warm. It's exciting to go to the north pole to keep warm in the near 40 degree weather in summer.
