Chongqing is famous for its river city, fog city and mountain city. So why is Chongqing called a mountain city? How many districts are there in Chongqing?
Chongqing, referred to as Chongqing or Pakistan, is the only municipality directly under the central government, central city, mega city and international metropolis in the Midwest of People's Republic of China. The economic, financial, scientific, shipping and trade logistics centers in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River are important strategic pivots for the development of the western region, "one belt and one road" and important links between the Yangtze River economic belt and inland open highlands.
Chongqing is a typical mountainous city. The main urban area includes parallel mountains, isolated high hills, mountains in the city, cliff lines and other topographical features. The four large parallel mountains in the main city, referred to as "four mountains", include Jinyun Mountain, Zhongliang mountain, Tongluo mountain and Mingyue Mountain.
Chongqing is both a mountain city and a river city. The existing water systems in the main urban area include the Yangtze River and Jialing River, 40 first-class tributaries with a drainage area of more than 10 square kilometers, more than 2000 two or three class tributaries, 64 reservoirs and 3 wetland parks.
