Chongqing, referred to as Chongqing or Pakistan, is the only municipality directly under the central government, central city, mega city and international metropolis in the Midwest of People's Republic of China. The economic, financial, scientific, shipping and trade logistics centers in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River are important strategic pivots for the development of the western region, "one belt and one road" and important links between the Yangtze River economic belt and inland open highlands.

Chongqing is a typical mountainous city. The main urban area includes parallel mountains, isolated high hills, mountains in the city, cliff lines and other topographical features. Chongqing will take "four mountains" as the main vein, eling and Zhaomu mountain as the secondary vein, including the list of mountain protection objects including 40 most important mountains in the city and other general hills, and formulate control measures to play its role in leisure and recreation.
