At present, most of the sunscreen skin clothes on the market are light in texture, bright in color, and partially transparent or translucent. Theoretically speaking, the anti ultraviolet performance of such clothing is worse, but after some treatment, such as adding ultraviolet absorbing chemicals into the fiber, or adding anti ultraviolet additives, such as nano titanium dioxide, in the clothing processing stage, the lightweight clothing can also prevent ultraviolet rays. But it should be noted that this cloth after repeated washing, sunscreen effect will also be reduced.
When consumers buy sunscreen clothes, they should pay attention to the UPF value in the label. The higher the UPF value, the better the anti ultraviolet radiation performance; if it does not reach 40, then this clothing can not be called sunscreen clothing. Some irregular manufacturers don't label UPF, but use cartoon sun pattern to publicize 'three Suns are the most sunscreen, two suns are the second', misleading consumers. This product can't guarantee the anti ultraviolet performance, so it's not recommended to buy it.
Can I wash sunscreen clothes
The answer is yes. Just check the sunscreen fade test before washing, and you can wash it without fading. There is a simple way to judge the quality of sunscreen fabric. Soak it in clean water and scrub it after about half an hour to see the color fading. A good sunscreen will not fade. If the color fading is severe, it means that the color fastness of sunscreen fabric is not good, and the sunscreen effect of sunscreen will not be much better. Do not wash with 40 degree warm water, wash with cold water, so that the effect of anti splashing water will last. If you don't have the function of anti splashing water, you should wash by hand as much as possible when washing. The soaking time should not exceed five minutes. You should use neutral detergent, so as to improve the life of sunscreen clothes.
