Hong Kong and Macao pass, commonly known as two-way pass, is a travel document issued by the exit Entry Administration of the Ministry of public security of the people's Republic of China to mainland Chinese residents for private travel to and from Hong Kong or Macao, visiting relatives, engaging in business, training, employment, studying abroad and other non official activities. Processing time limit: 10 working days from the date of acceptance (first or non first application). But they do not include mail days (generally about five days) and holidays.

Fee: 80 yuan for each copy of the pass to and from Hong Kong and Macao; 15 yuan for each one for one time and 30 yuan for each two times.

Mainland residents who travel to and from Hong Kong or Macao Special Administrative Region for private purposes, such as traveling, visiting relatives, engaging in business, training, employment and other non official activities, shall apply to the exit Entry Administration Department of the Public Security Bureau of the city or county where their registered permanent residence is located. Go with the Hong Kong Macao pass and valid endorsement issued by the exit Entry Administration Department of the Public Security Bureau.

Mainland residents who wish to settle in Hong Kong or Macao Special Administrative Region shall apply to the exit Entry Administration Department of the Public Security Bureau of the city or county where their registered permanent residence is located. Go to Hong Kong and Macao with the exit entry permit issued by the exit Entry Administration Department of the Public Security Bureau. For those who want to settle in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the holder shall leave at Luohu port, Shenzhen Bay Port, Shekou port (by boat) and Futian port; for those who want to settle in Macao Special Administrative Region, the holder shall leave at Gongbei port in Zhuhai.

When mainland residents go to Taiwan to settle down, visit relatives or participate in economic, scientific, technological, cultural, educational, academic and other activities upon invitation, they should apply to the exit Entry Administration Department of the public security organ of the city or county where their registered permanent residence is located. Travel to Taiwan with the mainland residents' pass and valid endorsement issued by the exit Entry Administration Department of the Public Security Bureau.

The valid period of the pass to and from Hong Kong and Macao under the age of 16 is 5 years, and the valid period of the pass to and from Hong Kong and Macao for adults is extended to 10 years. The endorsements are divided into family visit (T), business (s), group tour (L), individual tour (g), other endorsements (q) and stay (d). The holder shall travel to and from Hong Kong or Macao within the valid period of the pass and endorsement for travelling to and from Hong Kong or Macao according to the prescribed number of times and duration of stay.

Before coming to Hong Kong and Macao, you must obtain the endorsement issued by the mainland public security department for the purpose of coming to Hong Kong and Macao (such as group tour, personal tour, business or other endorsement, etc.).

Transit passengers with valid Chinese passport to other countries or regions via Hong Kong can be allowed to stay in Hong Kong for 7 days at each time of entry if they can meet the general entry requirements, including holding valid entry documents to the destination and confirmed coach / boat / air ticket for overseas tourism.
