How can roses not die? Roses can be kept for a few days at most

Valentine's Day is a very popular festival for Chinese couples. Sending roses on Valentine's Day is a way to express their love. Many people will buy roses, but roses also have a shelf life. When they first buy them back, they are totally different from after. How many days can a rose live at most?

Roses can be kept for a few days

Generally 3 to 4 days, see the flower form.

1. If there is no package at the bottom, it is suggested that you put it in the bottle, use fresh tap water, put some sugar and a little salt, and cut the root obliquely for a short period to prolong the fresh-keeping time of the flower.

2. After packing, add the water (it doesn't matter. Generally, the bottom of the bouquet is covered by plastic paper). Spray a little water on the flower head half an hour before delivery, which will make the flower more watery.

3. Cut the flower feet again before inserting it into the bottle. Because after the perianth is cut from the plant, in order to protect itself, a 'seal' will be formed at the 'wound', but if the seal is sealed, it will affect the absorption of water in the vase by the flowers, and the flowers will soon wilt.

4. Some people think that the leaves of plants help the flowers to carry out photosynthesis, and they are also useful for the flowers inserted in the bottle, which cannot be removed. In fact, this is not right. Because when the flower leaves the plant, the photosynthesis of the leaves weakens a lot, so it is no longer needed.

5. Add a proper amount of chemicals into the solution for inserting roses. If you can't buy the preservative for a while, you can use potassium permanganate 1 / 4000 aqueous solution to prevent corrosion, or aspirin 1 / 3000 aqueous solution to prepare a simple preservative, which can prolong the preservation time of roses.

6. When the rose shows signs of withering, cut off a small part of the end of the flower branch, and put it in a container filled with cold water, leaving only the flower head exposed to the water. After 1-2 hours, the flower branch will wake up.

How to keep roses for a long time

1. If the flower branch is relatively thick, you can cut an oblique section at the end of the flower branch, with the area as large as possible, so that it can absorb water as much as possible.

2. End smashing method: Smash about an inch of the end of the pedicel to enlarge the water absorption area. Scorch method: put the end of the flower branch on the candle flame to scorch, put it into the alcohol solution for one minute, and then rinse it with water. Preservative: use the ready-made preservative sold on the market.

3. Water injection method: the flower stalk is hollow and easy to lose water. You can use a water gun or syringe to pour water into the stalk, and then plug it with cotton to prolong the flowering period.

4. Application of articles (such as salt, alcohol, alum, mint, oil, etc.) on the incision can inhibit the growth of bacteria and prolong the life of the flower material.

5. Cauterization: some flowers will secrete mucus to block the incision and cause poor water absorption. You can burn the incision until the incision turns black and will not secrete mucus.

6. Remove the flowers and thorns of the rose. Remember to remove the leaves. Leave the stem of the rose. If it's too long, cut it. (the removed roses can be put in a vase)
