2. Take up the water tank cover - remove the water tank cover and take the cover to a place where it won't touch.

3. Turn off the water. The water valve is on the left side of the toilet.

4. Wash away the water in the water tank. Don't put it under the flushing handle. Let the water flow completely. Wear rubber gloves and dry the water in the tank with sponge or towel.

5. Scoop up the rest of the toilet with a small disposable container. Dry the rest of the toilet with a sponge or towel.

7. Connect the water tank to the toilet seat. The bolts may not be removed. Sometimes it takes hours to remove the water tank from the toilet seat.

8. Remove the nut and the bolt for fixing. Sometimes the bolt will turn, so use a hacksaw to cut the bolt. You can buy a single handle saw, which is convenient to use in the narrow working area.

9. If your toilet seat has caulking glue on the floor, please use a tool knife to cut off the sealant.

10. Gently shake the toilet to loosen it from the adhesive sealant.

11. Ask another person to help you lift the toilet. Keep your back straight and support your weight with your legs. Put the removed old toilet in a place that won't hinder the work, and use rags or towels under it, because it will be a little dirty. Otherwise, you can put it on a rag or plastic cloth and drag it away.

12. Plug the drain with rags to prevent the gas from escaping from the sewer.

13. If the fixing bolts are broken, they should be removed and replaced.

14. Scrape off the old sealant on the flange and floor with an putty knife.
