More than 10 provinces issued the one-child care leave policy
According to the data, by the end of 2017, China's population aged 60 and over had reached 241 million. In contrast, the pressure of parents' care and pension for the only child is more and more obvious. In order to deal with this problem, local governments have also intensively formulated policies in recent years, and introduced the relevant provisions of "only child care leave".
According to incomplete statistics from China news.com, at least 10 provinces including Fujian, Guangxi, Hubei, Hainan, Heilongjiang, Chongqing, Sichuan, Henan, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia and Shanxi have issued specific regulations. In addition, in Hubei, Heilongjiang, Sichuan, Ningxia and other places, it is also stipulated that non only children can enjoy this treatment.
For example, in the regulations on the protection of the rights and interests of the elderly in Henan Province, which will come into effect on January 1 next year, it is clear that during the hospitalization treatment period of the elderly who receive the glory certificate of the parents of the only child, their children's unit shall be given a nursing leave of no less than 20 days accumulatively every year, and the nursing leave shall be regarded as attendance.
The regulations of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on the protection of the rights and interests of the elderly passed this time stipulates that during the period when the elderly are ill and hospitalized, their children can enjoy paid accompany leave. Among them, the only child does not exceed 15 days in total every year, and the non only child does not exceed 7 days in total every year.
Earlier, Heilongjiang also distinguished only child and non only child in the policy. According to the regulations, during the period when the elderly are ill and hospitalized, the unit where the children belong to shall give them leave of accompanying care. The only child's leave is 20 days in total every year, while the non only child's leave is 10 days in total every year.
In addition, some local governments have not clearly defined the number of nursing leave days, but have proposed that employers should support their children to care for the elderly in hospital.
For example, in the regulations on the protection of the rights and interests of the elderly in Hebei Province, which was passed in September this year, it was proposed that during the period when the elderly are ill and hospitalized, the unit where the children are located should support their nursing care for the elderly and give them appropriate time for accompanying them.
