Foreign brides are censored for the trap of transnational marriage

In recent years, with the increasing international influence of China, cross-border marriage is increasing. However, some school-age young people are not clear about the legal provisions related to transnational marriage, which also causes the problem of illegal entry and residence of some foreigners. Recently, the shaquan police station of Hengshan County Public Security Bureau, together with the police of the population and entry-exit management team, carried out control and examination on three foreign women illegally residing in China.

At about 10 a.m. on April 24, the police of shaquan police station of Hengshan County Public Security Bureau received a report from the masses, saying that there are two suspected foreign women living in the home of two local villagers all the year round in futianpu township of Hengshan County, who may be suspected of illegal crimes. After receiving the police situation, the police of shaquan police station rushed to the local area for investigation.

After investigation and interview, the police found two women suspected by the masses to be foreigners in the local countryside. According to the police investigation, two women (Baali, 34, baanida, 19) are all foreigners, and they entered China from Yunnan border on August 8 and December 5, 2017 with temporary (limited term 6) border passes. Baali and baanida live in the homes of Wang and Peng respectively in futianpu village. Baali has been pregnant for more than five months. As the two foreigners did not hold legal passports and valid visas, the police conducted a subpoena investigation on the two foreign women according to law.

Later, in handling the two cases of illegal residence, the police of shaquan police station found that Zhao, a native of futianpu Township, was also suspected of allowing foreigners to stay illegally. The police then verbally summoned Zhao and his foreign 'wife' to the Hengshan County Public Security Bureau for investigation.

(MA Shengou, a foreign woman, is being interrogated by the police) since the police at the police station have no experience in handling cases of illegal residence of foreigners, the police at the police station immediately contacted the police of the population and entry exit management brigade of the county bureau to assist in the investigation. After inquiry and verification, in October 2016, Zhao Mou, a rural resident of futianpu, met the foreign woman (MA Shengou, 37 years old) through the introduction of a matchmaker when he was building a railway in the town of Zhefang, mang City, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and then they determined their relationship. On October 15, 2017, Ma Shengou, who was pregnant, entered China from Ruili, Yunnan Province with a border pass (limited term: 7 days), and then went to futianpu Township, Hengshan County directly by car in Mangshi. Later, with the introduction of Ma Shengou, Baali and baanida met Wang Mou and Peng Mou of futianpu Township, Hengshan County, and came to live in China in the same way.

According to the provisions of Article 60 and Article 79 of the law of the people's Republic of China on the administration of exit and entry, Hengshan police detained and examined baanida, a foreign woman, in accordance with the law, and restricted the scope of activities of Baali, who was pregnant, and mashengou, who was breastfeeding. All three of them faced the fate of being sent back to the country, and three of them, Zhao, Wang and Peng, who were allowed to stay in the country illegally, were fined.

At present, the case is still under further investigation.

In recent years, the number of brides of neighboring countries is increasing. Although cross-border marriage has solved the marriage problem for some men of marriageable age, it is also easy to become the target of marriage fraud. Because of the differences in living habits, religious beliefs, language and culture between the husband and wife in the transnational marriage family, it is easy to lead to divorce, escape from marriage and other problems. If you really want to marry a 'foreign daughter-in-law', it is suggested that on the basis of mutual affection, you should follow the legal cross-border marriage process, enter the country with a legal passport, and go through the legal marriage formalities with the relevant departments in China, so that the cross-border marriage will be recognized and protected by law.
