Clinically, it is mainly symptomatic treatment combined with high immune serum and monoclonal antibody treatment (the effect of monoclonal antibody is higher than that of high immune serum in the light of early stage of disease). The cure rate of adult dogs is higher than that of puppies, and the cure rate of cross breed dogs is higher than that of pedigree dogs (most pedigree dogs are from inbreeding, with low immunity). The prognosis of puppies is cautious.
After the onset of the disease, diet should be strictly controlled, food and water should be forbidden, and dehydration should be prevented by infusion. Because of the therapeutic significance of gastrointestinal function, do not force perfusion. The sick dog no longer vomits and has diarrhea within 48 hours, but may tentatively feed digestible food, such as soft dog food and millet soup.
Hemostasis often includes Vitamin K3, antivenin or hemostasis sensitivity, which can be used at the same time or alone. Emetic commonly used amol, metoclopramide and so on. Antidiarrhea can be used to stop diarrhea, medicinal carbon, humin, vidikang, etc. Antibiotics such as penicillin, gentamicin, ampicillin, amikacin, minocycline sulfate, tetracycline and erythromycin can be used to control secondary infection. Strong heart mainly uses strong heart, camphor sulfonic acid sodium or Anna coffee and so on.
The commonly used prescriptions in clinic are normal saline or 5% - 10% glucose solution 20-50ml / kg body weight, ampicillin 5-10ml / kg body weight, Johnson's heart 0.5ml-2.0ml/time, vitamin c100ml / kg body weight, vitamin k35-10ml / kg body weight, dexamethasone 2-5mg / time, mixed intravenous injection once or twice a day, and intravenous injection of 5% sodium bicarbonate 50 ml / kg body weight, 1-2 times / day, 1-4 ml of amol, 3-6 times / day of intramuscular injection, 0.2 mg / kg body weight of vidicon orally or enema, have good curative effect. If you want to drink, you can give enough oral rehydration salt solution. You can drink it freely. If you don't want to drink, you can take it by pouring. The formula of oral rehydration salt solution is: 3.5G sodium chloride, 2.5G sodium bicarbonate, 1.5g potassium chloride, 20g glucose and 1000ml water. In order to supplement nutrition, 25% - 50% glucose solution, amino acid or plasma substitute and albumin can be injected intravenously. High dose of dexamethasone and anisodamine (654-2) can be used for intravenous or intramuscular injection.
In order to discharge intestinal contents as soon as possible, enema can be performed. Generally, 0.05% - 0.1% potassium permanganate solution is used for enema, or oral rehydration salt solution is used for enema first, and then oral solution salt solution plus antibacterial drugs or antiviral drugs is used for retention enema, or normal saline, compound normal saline and lactate Ringer's solution are used for enema.
At present, there are high immune serum for canine parvovirus disease on the market, which can be used for trial. According to reports, early use, combined with symptomatic treatment, has a better effect. But in its later use, it has little significance.
