Qinghai Beishan National Forest Park
Beishan National Forest Park is located in the northeast of Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, Qinghai Province, with an altitude of 2100-4308 meters. The total area of the park is 1127 square kilometers, the forest coverage rate is 64.3%, and the forest volume is 4.2886 million cubic meters. It governs two Tibetan townships. The park is 220 km away from Lanzhou City, 110 km away from Xining city and 78 km away from the county seat. With towering peaks, beautiful mountains and clear waters, high sky and light clouds, clean air and outstanding plateau characteristics, it is a resort for tourism administration, recuperation, vacation and popular science investigation. It is one of the first batch of national ecological education bases for protecting mother river. It is also the only ecological park with forest natural landscape as the main body in Qinghai Province. It was rated as AAAA tourist scenic spot by National Tourism Administration in 2000.
