Many people think that there are seven days off for national day and Spring Festival, and three days off for Qingming, may day, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid Autumn Festival. These are the national legal holidays. If it is overtime, it is calculated by three times of salary. But this view is wrong. In fact, there are not so many legal holidays.

At present, there are 11 legal holidays in China, including new year's day, Qingming Day, may day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid Autumn Festival, national day and Spring Festival.

Take the National Day mid autumn long holiday as an example, from October 1 to October 8, among which, 1, 2 and 3 days belong to the National Day legal holiday, overtime should be paid 3 times, 4 days is the mid autumn day legal holiday, overtime should also be paid 3 times, 5 and 6 days belong to the compensatory holiday, overtime and no compensatory holiday should be paid 2 times, 7 and 8 days are weekends, overtime and no compensatory holiday should also be paid 2 times.

For example, if your monthly salary is 10000 yuan, and the average working day of a month is 21.75 days, then your daily salary is 459.77 yuan. If you add 8 days to the National Day Mid Autumn Festival holiday, and the unit does not have compensatory leave or compensatory leave, then your overtime pay is:

459.77 * (4 * 3 + 4 * 2) = 9195.4 yuan

The overtime pay during the Mid Autumn Festival is about to catch up with one month's salary. It's really attractive.

Another thing to note is that overtime is for legal holidays or weekends. If you leave work several hours late on a working day, it is not called overtime, it is called overtime. It is calculated according to 150% of the extended working hours.
