What is dragon fish? How to conserve dragon fish

Longyu likes weak acid soft water. Generally, it can choose the tap water of rivers, which is weak acid and suitable for Longyu breeding. But the tap water contains chlorine and fluorine after artificial treatment, which is very harmful to the dragon fish.

What is a dragon fish?

1. It is a living fossil of fish.

In the Archaean Carboniferous, 3.5 million years ago, Longyu began to exist. Later, due to the movement of the earth's crust, they were gradually distributed to all continents of the world, such as Australia, South America and Asia. In addition to its long history, it is known as a living fossil of fish because of its unique anatomical features. Among them, the most obvious is that the dragonfish has a zipper like mouth structure with low water capacity, as well as huge scales and fins that are not suitable for fast swimming, which are important characteristics of 'prehistoric fish'.

2. It is a beautiful large freshwater fish.

The dragon fish usually has a bluish silver luster, because the scales are very large, when it is illuminated by light, it can reflect pink light, and at the same time, the fins will have pink or orange red beauty, which are the incomparable outer surface in tropical fish.

3. It is a carnivorous fish.

The feeding of dragonfish usually uses animal bait, among which the feeding of active small fish is the best. Because the internal organs of animals are easy to damage the digestive system of longfish, they can not be used for feeding. The artificial compound feed of prawn can be selected to keep the nutrition balance of longfish.

4. Its living environment.

Dragonfish generally grows in Southeast Asia, the Amazon basin of South America, Australia and New Guinea in the Nile basin of Africa. The adaptive water temperature is between 24-29 ℃, and some fish can live in the environment of 22-31 ℃ in good condition. However, when raising longfish, we should pay attention not to let the water temperature change rapidly, which will cause it to die.

How to conserve the dragon fish?

1. Water temperature requirements.

Generally speaking, the water temperature of longfish culture needs to be kept at 24-26 ℃. Pay special attention to the water temperature needs to be raised to 28-30 ℃ in case of silver dragon and black dragon culture. In the process of breeding, it is necessary to avoid the sudden change of water temperature. The increase or decrease of water temperature will have a great impact on the dragon fish, and it is easy to cause the nervous system shock and death of the dragon fish. Therefore, the water temperature should be strictly controlled at ordinary times, especially when changing water, the water temperature of the new and old water should not exceed 2 ℃, when the dragon fish is put into the new environment after transportation, it should wait for 15 minutes, and only when the water temperature of the new environment is similar to that of the transportation can the fish be put into it.

2. Oxygen requirements.

Some of the oxygen in the water is the product of photosynthesis, some of it is directly dissolved in the air, but the excreta of fish will decompose and consume the dissolved oxygen in the water. So we should clean all kinds of filth in the fish tank in time. In order to make the dragon fish have enough oxygen, it is also necessary to install oxygen adding equipment and cultivate some aquatic plants, not only to beautify but also to increase oxygen.

3. Water quality requirements.

Longyu likes weak acid soft water. Generally, it can choose the tap water of rivers, which is weak acid and suitable for Longyu breeding. But the tap water contains chlorine and fluorine after artificial treatment, which is very harmful to the dragon fish. Therefore, the tap water should be placed for one or two days or half a day in the sun to make the chlorine and fluorine disappear before it can be put into the fish tank.

4. Light requirements.

Although most of the fish in the family are kept indoors, we should pay attention not to put them in too dark place. The dragon fish needs a certain amount of light in the growing process. It's better to have sunshine twice a day for 3 to 4 hours. If often in the dim light place, the dragon fish will become rigid, lack of appetite, dim color. However, it should also be noted that if the light is too strong, it will cause abnormal swimming and even bubble disease.
