2、 The cause of astigmatism
1. Deviation of light center. Most of these cases are due to the displacement of lens position caused by eye diseases or ocular trauma.
2. Refractive index is not equal. Most of the cases are caused by the difference of refractive index in different areas of the lens. For example, cataract can cause different refractive index.
3. The curvature is unequal. Most of this happens in the cornea or lens. Astigmatism, which is not serious in general, can be divided into physiological astigmatism. The most common one is the relatively large vertical curvature of the cornea.
3、 Clinical manifestations of astigmatism
1. Vision loss. The vision of patients with mild astigmatism usually does not change much. Moderate astigmatism and high astigmatism can lead to poor near far strength.
2. Visual fatigue. For the fuzzy image cast on the retina to be constantly adjusted, it is easy to cause eyesight fatigue, specific performance for tears, eye pain and so on.
4、 Treatment of astigmatism
1. Correction. Regular astigmatism can be treated by correction method. According to the different degree of astigmatism, different colonoscopes are used for correction. Patients with mild astigmatism may not need correction, and their vision can recover by themselves. Patients with eye fatigue and vision decline shall wear corrective glasses.
2. Surgery. Surgical treatment is suitable for congenital high astigmatism or high astigmatism caused by eye surgery.
