In March, the Ministry of human resources and social security and the Ministry of Finance issued the notice on adjusting the basic pension of retirees in 2018. According to the level of about 5% of the monthly basic pension of retirees in 2017, the basic pension will be increased, and it is estimated that 114 million retirees will benefit.
Why is the overall increase of pension about 5%? Lu Aihong explained that this is a comprehensive consideration of the wage growth, price level and fund support ability of the employees. On the basis of ensuring the basic life of the retirees, it is also in line with the requirements of doing as best as you can to make them reasonably share the fruits of economic and social development.
So when will pension adjustments be paid in place? Lu Aihong stressed that all localities should formulate specific implementation plans before May 31, submit them to the Ministry of human resources and social security and the Ministry of Finance for examination and approval, promptly organize the implementation, and distribute the increased pension to retirees as soon as possible.
Lu Aihong said that the timing of pension adjustment and payment in place may vary from place to place, but no matter when the pension is paid in place, it will be reissued from January 1, 2018.
The reporter noted that recently, Shanghai took the lead in announcing the specific implementation plan of pension adjustment, and proposed to increase the pension for enterprise retirees (including those who received the pension monthly from the original town insurance included in the occupational insurance according to the regulations) and urban and rural residents insurance pensioners from January 2018, which will be paid in place on May 18.
According to the specific adjustment methods published by Shanghai, first, the quota of each person is increased by 60 yuan; second, every year that I have paid for the job insurance (including the deemed payment period) is increased by 2 yuan, and if less than 30 yuan, it is calculated by 30 yuan; third, the basic pension in December 2017 is increased by 2.1%.
