People's governments of cities, counties (cities) and relevant units of the province:

According to the provisions on minimum wage (Order No. 21 of the former Ministry of labor and social security) and the Interim Provisions on minimum wage of enterprises in Jiangsu Province (Order No. 56 of the provincial government), with the consent of the provincial people's government, the minimum wage standard of the whole province will be adjusted from January 1, 2016. The notice is as follows:

1、 Monthly minimum wage standard: 1770 yuan in class I area; 1600 yuan in class II area; 1400 yuan in class III area. The minimum hourly wage standard for part-time employment: 15.5 yuan for class I areas; 14 yuan for class II areas; 12 yuan for class III areas.

The remuneration paid by the enterprise to the internship students and the labor remuneration paid to the part-time students shall be calculated on an hourly basis and shall not be lower than the local minimum wage standard for part-time employment.

2、 The minimum wage standard does not include the following contents: (1) overtime pay; (2) allowances under special working environment and conditions such as medium shift, night shift, high temperature, low temperature, underground, poisonous and harmful; (3) labor welfare benefits stipulated by laws, regulations and the state.

After excluding the contents not included and individuals paying the housing accumulation fund according to the lower limit, the monthly wage paid by the employer to the workers shall not be lower than the minimum wage standard.

3、 The people's governments of all cities and counties (cities) are requested to announce the adjusted minimum wage standard to the society within the prescribed time limit.
