According to the notice, the purchase restriction policy of household registration residents in Nanjing is adjusted. On the basis of the original purchase restriction policy, within the scope of the main urban area (excluding Gaochun, Lishui and Liuhe), households of household registration residents in Nanjing who have already owned 2 or more houses will be suspended from purchasing second-hand houses.

According to the Nanjing Housing Authority, the purpose of issuing the purchase restriction policy is to better implement the requirements of the state's urban policies and classified regulation and control, adhere to the principle that "the house is for living, not for speculation", strengthen the residential property of the house, and promote the stable and healthy development of the real estate market in Nanjing.
