Sun Wenbin was sentenced to death for intentional homicide
Today, the Beijing No. 3 intermediate people's court held a public hearing in accordance with the law to hear the case of intentional homicide of the defendant sun Wenbin. The defendant sun Wenbin was sentenced to death for intentional homicide and deprived of political rights for life.
The court found that on December 4, 2019, the defendant sun Wenbin and his relatives sent his mother sun Weishi to the civil aviation general hospital for treatment. Because sun Wenbin was dissatisfied with Doctor Yang Wen's treatment of his mother, he held a grudge and intended to retaliate. At about 6:00 on December 24, sun Wenbin repeatedly cut and stabbed Yang Wen's neck with a sharp knife prepared in advance, resulting in Yang Wen's death. Sun Wenbin surrendered to the police after committing the crime and was arrested by the public security organ.
The court held that the defendant sun Wenbin deliberately and illegally deprived others of their lives, and his behavior constituted the crime of intentional homicide. The crime was extremely serious and should be punished according to law. Sun Wenbin reported to the police after committing the crime. If he can truthfully confess his crime after arriving at the case, he shall be recognized as voluntary surrender according to law. In view of the extremely bad nature of sun Wenbin's crime, the particularly cruel means of killing, the particularly serious circumstances and consequences, and the great social harm, although there is a voluntary surrender, it is not enough to give a lighter punishment. The court made the above judgment of first instance in court according to law.
During the trial, the court gave sufficient evidence and cross examination to the criminal facts accused by the public prosecution, listened to the opinions of the prosecution and the defense, and the defendant sun Wenbin pleaded guilty in court.
