On November 26, the Jiangsu provincial government announced the provisions of Jiangsu Province on the administration of public security of rental housing, which will come into force on January 1, 2020. For renting a house, the lessor shall report the registration information within 7 days from the date of signing the lease contract. Those who fail to report or transfer the registration information as required shall be ordered by the public security organ to make corrections, punished according to law and recorded in the credit record.
Through which channels can the landlord declare the registration information? There are five channels: (1) self declaration through the rental housing public security management information system; （2） Report to the local public security police station and the organization entrusted by the public security organ where the house is located; （3） If a house is rented through a real estate brokerage agency or Internet platform, it may be agreed that the real estate brokerage agency or Internet platform operator shall apply; （4） Report through the property service enterprise where the house is located; （5） Report through villagers' committee and community residents' committee. If it has been registered with the housing and urban rural construction department, the housing and urban rural construction department shall push the information to the public security organ, and the lessor shall no longer declare the registration information.
