It is reported that Wen Yiduo was admitted to Tsinghua University in 1912. In 1922, he went to the United States to study art and devoted himself to the research and practice of poetry and dramatic art. He returned to China in 1925 and taught in many colleges and universities. In 1932, he returned to his alma mater Tsinghua University as a professor of Chinese literature, and served as the director of the Chinese Department of Tsinghua University for many years, engaged in the study of Chinese classical literature. When the national war of resistance against Japan broke out in 1937, Wen Yiduo moved to Kunming with the school and became a professor of southwest United University. He joined the China Democratic League in 1944. He was killed by Kuomintang agents in 1946. Wen Yiduo is an outstanding poet and famous scholar in the history of modern Chinese literature. He is also a great patriot and democratic fighter. He is an outstanding representative of China's outstanding intellectuals. Wen Yiduo always cares about the fate of the country and the nation, and expresses his deep affection and love for the people of the motherland and his hatred and protest against the dark reality in his poems; For the cause of democracy and justice, he resolutely followed the torrent of the times and wrote a magnificent poem with his life and blood.
