How to judge whether 'insomnia'?

According to the guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of insomnia in Chinese adults formulated by the sleep disorders group of the neurology branch of the Chinese Medical Association, insomnia is defined as' a subjective experience in which patients are dissatisfied with sleep time and / or quality and affect daytime social function '. One of the diagnostic criteria is that it is difficult to fall asleep for more than 30 minutes.

One is the timing of sleep. When to sleep is the key. From a scientific point of view, sleeping at 10 p.m. is the best. It's unscientific to sleep too early or too late. However, modern people's work and living habits have changed greatly. It is a common phenomenon to go to bed late. You should also go to bed no later than 12 o'clock as far as possible.

The second is the length of sleep. Usually, seven to eight hours is the length of sleep to meet the physiological needs of adults. If a person only sleeps three or four hours a day, or more than ten hours, there must be a problem. At the same time, people's sleep is continuous, not seven or eight hours pieced together in 24 hours a day.

The third is the feeling after waking up. When you wake up feeling refreshed, it proves that you have slept well. On the contrary, if you wake up feeling sleepy, tired, irritable, unable to concentrate, decreased working ability, it means you haven't slept well. If these problems occur and cannot be alleviated and overcome, we should go to the hospital for detailed examination and take measures to intervene.

Healthy sleep should meet the following three conditions:

1. Go to bed around 10 p.m

2. The sleep time of normal adults should be 6-8 hours, but it also varies according to people and age.

3. The next day after waking up, the mental state is very good.
