Potou district government of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province reported on the 31st that a fire in a local hardware store killed four people.
According to the briefing, at about 1 a.m. on the 31st, a fire broke out in a two-story hardware store in the south of Guangzhan Road, Guandu town, Potou district. The first floor of the store caught fire, covering an area of about 60 square meters. The fire was extinguished two hours later.
The on-site rescue personnel rescued 5 people from the fire, of which 4 injured were immediately sent to Guandu hospital for treatment, of which 3 were transferred to Zhanjiang Central People's hospital due to serious injuries, and 4 injured died after ineffective rescue.
