List of cities with 5g commercial package officially launched in the first 50 cities on November 1

At the 2019 China International Information and Communication Exhibition held today (October 31), the Ministry of industry and information technology held a 5g commercial launch ceremony with the three major operators. China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom officially announced the 5g package and officially launched the 5g commercial package on November 1. This marks that China will officially enter the 5g commercial era.

It is reported that a total of 50 cities have been selected into the list of the first batch of 5g cities, namely Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Tianjin, Wuhan, Jinan, Zhengzhou, Suzhou, Qingdao, Chongqing, Chengdu, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Jiaxing, Shaoxing, Dongguan, Foshan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Wuxi, Changzhou, Nantong, Shenyang, Changsha, Dalian, Lanzhou, Fuzhou, Shijiazhuang Taiyuan, Xining, Xi'an, Xiamen, Guiyang, xiong'an, Hohhot, Nanning, Haikou, Harbin, Nanchang, Hefei, Yinchuan, Kunming, Changchun, Quanzhou, Liuzhou, Yingtan and Urumqi.

So far, the total number of 5g commercial reservation users of China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom has exceeded 10 million.

It is understood that after the 5g system verification test was completed at the end of 2018, China began to gradually start the 5g commercial process.

In January 2019, the national development and Reform Commission and other ten departments proposed to accelerate the launch of 5g commercial licenses in the implementation plan for further optimizing supply, promoting steady growth of consumption and promoting the formation of a strong domestic market (2019); On January 29, the Ministry of industry and information technology said that China has completed the third stage of 5g technology R & D test, and 5g system equipment has the pre commercial level;

On March 5, 2019, Miao Wei, Minister of industry and information technology, said at the two sessions that 5g license would be issued soon;

On June 3, 2019, the Ministry of industry and information technology revealed that it would issue 5g commercial licenses. On June 6, the Ministry of industry and information technology officially issued 5g commercial licenses to China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Radio and television;

On June 25, 2019, China Mobile released 5g brand logo, marking that the three operators have completed the release of 5g brand logo; On the same day, Huawei 5g dual-mode mobile phone mate20x (5g) obtained the first network access license for 5g terminal telecom equipment in China;

As of 11:00 on October 9, 2019, the number of 5g package reservation users of the three major operators has exceeded 10 million; On October 22, 2019, the spokesman of the Ministry of industry and information technology revealed that by the end of September, the three basic telecom enterprises had opened more than 80000 5g base stations nationwide.
