4hw.com.cn: Recently, a famous British education newspaper published the 2018 Asian university ranking, which ranked the top three in the list, namely Singapore, Tsinghua University and Peking University. On February 7, the times higher education (the) released the ranking of Asian universities in 2018. For the third year in a row, National University of Singapore ranked first in the university rankings, with Tsinghua University and Peking University ranking second and third respectively. This is also the first time that Tsinghua University surpassed Peking University in the ranking of the Asian universities, becoming the number one Chinese University.
In the top ten universities, Chinese universities occupy five seats. In addition to Tsinghua University and Peking University, Hong Kong University ranks fourth, Hong Kong University of science and technology and Nanyang University of technology rank fifth, and Chinese University of Hong Kong ranks seventh. The eighth to tenth universities are Tokyo University, Seoul University and the Korean Academy of science and technology.
Among the top 100 universities, 39 are selected by Chinese universities, which are far ahead, followed by South Korea (16) and Japan (11).
Since 2013, the ranking of the Asian universities has been published for six consecutive years, and the performance of Chinese universities in the ranking has improved year by year. On the whole, East Asian universities are still strong, occupying the majority of seats in the list. However, some famous universities have not performed well in recent years. For example, Tokyo University of Japan ranked first in 2013-2015, but dropped to seventh in 2016, and still failed in the top five this year.
