In the future, those who participate in the evaluation of national scholarships for junior college students must have the nationality of the people's Republic of China. Recently, the Ministry of education and the Ministry of Finance jointly issued the measures for the evaluation of national scholarships for junior college students and the Interim Measures for the evaluation of national scholarships for secondary vocational education, which have been implemented since the date of issuance.
The reporter noted that compared with the previous provisions, the national scholarship evaluation measures for junior college students mainly have three changes. First, a basic application condition has been added: the candidate must have the nationality of the people's Republic of China. Second, in terms of discipline competition, China's "Internet +" College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship competition and the national vocational college skills competition are listed as newly recognized competition items. Third, according to the plan announced by the Ministry of education in July this year, the number of national scholarships for junior college students will be increased from 50000 to 60000. All the increased 10000 places will be used to reward particularly excellent full-time higher vocational college students, and the reward standard is 8000 yuan per student per year.
In addition, this year, China has also set up a national scholarship for secondary vocational education to reward particularly excellent full-time students in secondary vocational schools (including technical schools). 20000 students are rewarded every year, and the reward standard is 6000 yuan per person. In accordance with the Interim Measures for the evaluation of national scholarships for secondary vocational education, full-time students in grade two and above can apply for national scholarships for secondary vocational education. Those whose academic performance ranking is less than 30% are not qualified to apply. When allocating the number of national scholarships for secondary vocational schools, all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities shall give appropriate preference to schools focusing on agriculture and forestry, geology, elderly care, home economics and other majors, as well as advanced manufacturing, strategic emerging industries and other majors in short supply of talents.
