Fuzi is one of the oldest characters in China. It has appeared in oracle bone inscriptions. It is the shape of wine utensils in front of God, because the ancients used wine to symbolize wealth in life. The present Fu characters are composed of Shi, Yi, Kou and Tian. Shi refers to God arrived; Tian refers to cultivated land and hunting; one word, according to Shuowen, explains: "one, only at the beginning of Taishi, Tao stands in one, creating heaven and earth, and transforming everything"; Kou, Shuowen, says: "mouth, so people speak and eat. 'in this word of blessing, the common people's desire for land to meet their needs for food and clothing is entrusted.

The word "Fu" on the gate was pasted upside down by mistake. The housekeeper knelt on the ground and said, "Prince Gong is blessed with longevity and great fortune.". Now the great blessing is really here. It's a sign of good luck. Hearing this, Fu Jin thought to himself: no wonder that all the people said that the Prince Gong's mansion was blessed. The auspicious language says a thousand times / the gold and silver increase a thousand times; when he is happy, he rewards the housekeeper and the family who pasted down the blessing. After the event, the custom of sticking the word "Fu" was introduced into the people's families by the Da government, and all the passers-by or urchins were willing to say a few words: Fu arrived / Fu arrived!
There is also a legend about the word "Fu" posted on the back of the people:
Zhu Yuanzhang, the emperor of Ming Dynasty, used the word "Fu" as a secret record to prepare to kill people. The good empress Ma tried to eliminate the disaster. So that every family in the city must put a blessing on their own door. No one dares to disobey empress Ma's will. So the word "Fu" was pasted on every door. Some of them are illiterate. I actually pasted the word "Fu" upside down. The next day the emperor sent people to the streets to check: they found that every family had pasted the word "Fu". Only one family pasted the word "Fu" upside down. The emperor was furious at the report. Immediately order the royal forest army to cut off the whole family. Empress Ma said to Zhu Yuanzhang: the family knows you are visiting. Deliberately pasted the word Fu upside down. Isn't that the meaning of "blessed"? The emperor has a point. He ordered the release. A major disaster was finally eliminated. Since then, people have pasted the word "Fu" upside down: one for luck / two for the memory of empress ma.
