According to the opinions, to build a leading demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Shenzhen should achieve these development goals in the future:
By 2025, Shenzhen's economic strength and development quality will rank among the forefront of global cities, its R & D investment intensity and industrial innovation ability will be world-class, its cultural soft power will be greatly improved, its public service level and ecological environment quality will reach the international advanced level, and will be built into a modern, international and innovative city.
By 2035, Shenzhen will become a national model of high-quality development, the world's leading urban comprehensive economic competitiveness, the capital of innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity with global influence, and the urban model of building a socialist modern power in China.
By the middle of this century, Shenzhen has become a global benchmark city with outstanding competitiveness, innovation and influence.
In order to achieve the above objectives, Shenzhen will undertake many major development tasks in the future, each of which is a major event:
