according to Singapore's Lianhe Zaobao, accidents caused by climbing Everest have occurred frequently in recent months. A few days ago, a committee composed of Nepalese government officials, mountaineering experts and representatives of mountaineering institutions said that in the future, the qualifications of climbers will be strictly examined, and they must have relevant training and experience to be allowed to climb.

It is reported that in the review report submitted to the Nepalese government, the committee said: "all climbers who plan to climb Everest and other peaks above 8000 meters must complete basic and high-altitude mountaineering training."

According to the latest regulations, climbers of Mount Everest must obtain the certificate of success in climbing the peak above 6500m in Nepal in advance. At the same time, the applicant must also produce a report proving his health and employ a regular Nepalese Mountaineering Guide.

It is reported that at present, climbers who want to climb Everest from Nepal only need to pay US $11000 to the local government to obtain a climbing license, and the authorities will not check the climbers' experience and physical condition.

It is reported that most climbers choose to climb the summit in mid May, when the weather is the most suitable. Coupled with loose regulations and lack of mountaineering experience, 2019 has become the year with the largest number of deaths and missing people climbing Everest in recent years. So far in 2019, 11 people have died or disappeared during climbing Everest, of which 9 have occurred on the Nepalese side.

A senior official of Nepal's Ministry of tourism revealed that the government accepted the recommendations made by the Committee and would prepare to amend the law to implement these new regulations.
