Amazon stops selling paper books and the Kindle is not affected. Why does Amazon stop selling paper

On July 18, with Amazon China stopping its third-party seller service, Amazon China completely stopped selling paper books. Previously, Amazon has stopped selling paper books. In this regard, Amazon China said that in order to optimize operational efficiency and improve profitability, Amazon adjusted its retail business in China in April this year, including paper books.

At present, when Amazon browses all product categories, there is no 'book' column. However, the classification of Kindle Store and kindle e-books is still. In early July, Amazon closed its self operated paper book classification and only retained some third-party sellers to sell paper books.

Amazon China responded to the reporter of Beiqing daily that in order to accelerate the development of cross-border online retail business, optimize operational efficiency and improve profitability, Amazon adjusted its retail business in China in April this year, including paper books.

Amazon also said it would create the best digital reading experience for Chinese consumers. Kindle is widely loved by Chinese users. Amazon will continue to innovate and provide Chinese consumers with more advanced e-book readers. At the same time, it will continue to provide more high-quality reading content and services, including high-quality Kindle e-books, Ku e-book monthly service and prime reading.

In April this year, Amazon announced that it would successively shut down all businesses of Amazon China except Amazon overseas outsourcing, Amazon global store opening, Kindle and Amazon cloud computing, and would stop providing seller services to third-party sellers on Amazon China's website on July 18, 2019. However, Amazon said it would work closely with all sellers to complete the follow-up handover to ensure the user experience.
