Are Qilixiang and jiulixiang a kind of plant? What's the difference?

Qili incense and Jiuli incense are both flower plants. Many people often don't know the difference between the two flowers. In fact, you may not think they are different just by listening to their names, but as long as you are careful, it's not difficult to find the most essential difference between Qili incense and Jiuli incense. Let's take a closer look

Distinction in appearance

After careful observation, we will find that although the appearance is very similar, there are still some subtle differences. For example, the widest position of the leaves of Qilixiang is usually below the middle of the petiole. The more upward, the more pointed the leaves are. Then let's take a look at the leaves of thyme. The widest position of the leaves of thyme is close to the position of the leaf tip. Some of the position and shape of the leaf tip are close to the circle, and some are pointed. The fruit of the other two plants can also be seen in detail. The fruit of jiulixiang is roughly round. After identification, we found that the fruit of Qilixiang is roughly oval. We often see hedgerows or bonsai, most of which are made of thyme. In addition, the flowers of Qilixiang may be larger. Both plants belong to Rutaceae. It is understandable that they are not easy to distinguish.

Distinguish from geographical distribution

Jiulixiang is mostly distributed in sandy soil near the sea. It likes sunshine and can tolerate dry heat and high temperature. Qili incense grows in the mountains and forests inland, and its habits are also different from that of Jiuli incense. Qili incense prefers wet places and is more shade resistant.
