103 children in India died of encephalitis suspected to be related to litchi, Agence France Presse reported.
So far this month, 103 children have died from acute encephalitis syndrome (AES) in Muzaffarpur County, Bihar, eastern India. Most of these children are under the age of 10 and malnourished. With dozens of children still receiving medical treatment, the death toll is likely to rise.
