Buying new year's goods during the Spring Festival is an indispensable top priority for ordinary Chinese people, including food, clothing, wearing, using, playing, offering, giving (New Year's greetings) gifts, dry, fresh, raw and cooked. It is collectively called "New Year's goods", and the process of purchasing new year's goods is called "doing new year's goods".
Traditional new year goods:
Spring Festival couplets: written in ink or gold paint on red paper, with the intention of avoiding evil and seeking auspiciousness
