Travel restriction time and scope:

① Beijing brand automobile:

The first: state owned enterprises and institutions in Beijing: one day per week (00:00-24:00), covering all sections

The second type: cars from Beijing residents and private enterprises: limited by the tail number. The limited time is 07:00-20:00. The restricted range is all roads within the Fifth Ring Road (excluding the Fifth Ring Road)

② Non Beijing cars:

Passenger cars: restricted time: 07:00-09:00 and 17:00-20:00. Restricted range: within the Fifth Ring Road (including the Fifth Ring Road)

Non passenger operating vehicles: the travel restriction time is 09:00-17:00, and the travel restriction range is within the Fifth Ring Road (including the Fifth Ring Road), which is limited according to the tail number

2018 Beijing traffic restriction rules (including foreign vehicles):

(1) From April 9, 2018 to July 8, 2018, the tail numbers of license plates of restricted motor vehicles from Monday to Friday are: 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8 respectively;

(2) From July 9, 2018 to October 7, 2018, the tail numbers of license plates of restricted motor vehicles from Monday to Friday are: 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6, 2 and 7 respectively;

(3) From October 8, 2018 to January 6, 2019, the tail numbers of license plates of restricted motor vehicles from Monday to Friday are: 2 and 7, 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6 respectively;

(4) From January 7, 2019 to April 7, 2019, the tail numbers of license plates of restricted motor vehicles from Monday to Friday are 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0 respectively.

The following motor vehicles are not subject to the above measures:

(1) Police cars, fire engines, ambulances, engineering rescue vehicles;

(2) Public electric vehicles, inter provincial long-distance passenger vehicles and large buses, Beijing Section B number plate taxis (excluding rental vehicles), minibuses, special postal vehicles, vehicles with tourist bus operation certificates issued by the municipal transportation management department, unit buses and school buses approved by the municipal public security transportation management department;

(3) Administrative law enforcement vehicles and special operation vehicles for obstacle removal with unified marks on the body and performing official duties;

(4) Special operation vehicles for sanitation, garden and road maintenance, funeral vehicles in funeral parlors;

(5) Vehicles with 'enable' prefix plates and vehicles approved for temporary entry;

(6) Pure electric passenger car (a motor-driven passenger car with rechargeable battery as the only power source).
