2018 is the 19th journalists' day. On September 18, 1999, the measures for the national annual festival and Memorial Day holiday was once again explicitly included in the reporter's day. In August 2000, the State Council officially approved the request of the China Journalists Association and agreed to set November 8 as the journalists' day. Since then, journalists in New China have their own festivals.
