A few months ago, an ancient tomb was found in a construction site in Xihu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. In recent days, the reporter learned from the Nanchang museum that this is an ancient tomb group, the earliest of which has a history of more than 2000 years.
After the cave entrance of the ancient tomb was discovered in July last year, the cultural department immediately carried out a rescue excavation of the ancient tomb. The staff found 10 tombs, including two structures: the adobe mixed structure tomb and the brick chamber tomb.
From M1 to M10, according to our unearthed artifacts and tomb forms, it should be in the period of the eastern Wu (222-280).
Then, the staff found something new around tomb 10.

Tomb 11 was initially identified as the early Eastern Han Dynasty. Moreover, there were six coffins in tomb 11 under tomb 10.
At present, the archaeological excavation of this ancient tomb group is still in progress.
It is understood that 450 pieces of pottery, porcelain, bronze, gold and other utensils were unearthed in the central tomb group of Xiangnan, which is of great significance for the excavation of some cultural relics.
