Reading and happiness

I have a friend. She has known me for many years. We have been together for a long time. She always talks about me without reservation. My good friend is a book. A good book is like a best friend. It gives me a wealth of knowledge, happiness and confidence. Diaries grade six Diaries

Reading gives me knowledge. 'books are the nourishment of the world,' Shakespeare once said. Is book really something to eat? No, here, nutrition is spiritual food. That is, the knowledge in the book. The book taught me a lot. I remember when I was very young, I saw pictures of jellyfish in the book. I thought the jellyfish was very beautiful at that time, so I shouted to Dad to help me catch some. In the first grade, I opened the book "underwater world" again, just turned to the page of jellyfish, which said: jellyfish are extremely dangerous, because they have extremely toxic tentacles. I was very surprised to see it here. After a while, I was puzzled again: how could a beautiful jellyfish have poison on its tentacles? With this doubt, I continued to look down. It turns out that jellyfish evolved instinct to protect themselves. I have added a new knowledge.

Reading gives me happiness. As long as I keep reading, happiness will never stop. Besides, reading is a happy thing! Every time I buy a book, when I get home, I will carefully open it, and I can't wait to read it without missing a word. I am always fascinated by the characters and plots in the book. In the book, the old antelope built a life bridge for the young antelope with his own body for the sake of the continuation of the race. The young antelope leaped the cliff, but it fell in the valley. This feat moved me. In the book, five thousand years up and down China, I experienced the long history and brilliant chapter of the Chinese nation. Every time I finish reading an article, I will tell the content of that article to my parents vividly. Whenever I hear my parents' praise, my heart is sweeter than honey.

Reading gives me confidence. I remember when I was in primary school, I was afraid to speak because of my timidity. Once, the teacher asked us in class: 'did you know that fish sleep with their eyes open or with their eyes closed? "The students replied with all sorts of tongues, some said that fish sleep with their eyes closed, some said that fish sleep with their eyes open. I stood up bravely and said: 'fish sleep with its eyes closed, because its eyelids are transparent, so its eyes seem to be open, but even if it is sleeping, as long as there is wind and grass, it will run away immediately & hellip; & hellip;. 'my speech won warm applause. From then on, I was full of confidence and no longer afraid.

In the ocean of books, I can breathe freely and roam freely. There's no metaphor for that feeling. Book, I will be with you all my life!
