The relationship between Taijiquan and meridians and acupoints

Taijiquan is a sport with very high medical and health care functions. Long term practice of Taijiquan not only greatly improves our nervous system, respiratory system and circulatory system, but also has a close relationship with our body's meridians and acupoints.

1. Taijiquan is one of the traditional martial arts in China. The meaning of Taijiquan is the spiral movement composed of big circle movement and small circle movement. For example: the earth's revolution around the sun (365 days) is a large circular motion, and the earth's rotation (24 hours) is a small circular motion; the composite motion is "Lai's Taiji diagram".

In Taijiquan, the large swing of the arm is similar to the "revolution". When the arm comes out of the fist and pushes the palm, the rotation of the arm is the "rotation"; it is similar to the spiral acceleration of the bullet in the gun bore.

Once you touch your opponent's body, you can use your luck to exert great force. The so-called "if you want to fight, you will hurt; if you want to fight, you will not hurt, you will die". That is to say, those who have the ability will hurt the opponent by making use of the fist and palm that are accelerating in rotation. Therefore, those who have the ability to practice fist to fist, when fist and palm touch the opponent's body, it is required to make a smooth hand, rather than a sharp turn with oblique palm.

2. Dantian acupoint: Taijiquan breath is best to keep Dantian's abdominal breathing. Dantian's position is Guanyuan (one can guard the navel). (upper Dantian Yintang acupoint is the main "God"; middle Dantian acupoint is the main "Qi"; lower Dantian Guanyuan acupoint is the main "essence", or "Yuanqi"). Therefore, there is a requirement of "including chest and pulling back" during the rising. Those who have chest have a little connotation, which makes the spirit sink in the Dantian. Avoid chest out, out of the gas congestion chest, up heavy and down light, easy to float heels. Those who pull out their backs, Qi sticks to their backs. If you can hold the chest, you can pull out the back. If you can pull out the back, you can get the back from the spine.

4. Empty spirit top strength and Baihui acupoint: you can imagine a god Buddha hanging your Baihui acupoint with a rope in the middle of the air to let you "empty lead top neck". Empty spirit and top strength: those with top strength have a straight head, and the God is in the top of the head. Do not use force. If you use force, your neck and neck will be strong, and your qi and blood will not flow. You must have the meaning of spirit deficiency and nature. Taijiquan must have the spirit of emptiness and strength, otherwise, the spirit can not be mentioned. Baihui acupoint is located in the middle of the head, which is the gathering point of Baimai and can cure all kinds of diseases, so it is called "Baihui". It is also the highest point of the human body, so it is an important channel for the human body to collect the aura of heaven and earth into the human body. Or the point where the human body communicates with the sky.

5. The point that connects the human body and the earth is Yongquan: according to traditional Chinese medicine, when Qi springs from the bottom of the foot, when it starts to move, you can use ten toes to closely touch the earth, imagine two feet firmly rooted in the earth, and the earth is constantly delivering power from Yongquan to the calves, knees, thighs, arms and the whole body.

Ten toes: there are six meridians and many acupoints in the foot, which crisscross and gather here: 51 acupoints under the condyle of the foot, including 15 acupoints on the sole of the foot. The friction between the foot and the ground can stimulate the movement of meridians and acupoints on the foot. It can massage the heart, stimulate the liver, gallbladder, stomach, spleen, kidney, bladder and other internal organs, so as to increase the vitality of these internal organs. The so-called catwalk is to let the heel touch the ground gently first, then let the foot grasp the ground like rolling an egg, and finally let the five toes buckle the ground. 50% of the body's meridians are in the legs. Therefore, Taijiquan has the effect of clearing acupoints and massaging meridians through leg movement.

In the whole process of Taijiquan, one foot must always be "solid": the solid foot can bear 100% of the body weight. Be sure to take root in the ground to gain strength. Be careful not to force your knees too much. Any time there is no solid palm support, the knee is bound to be damaged. So there are:

Real palms and kneepads: Taijiquan's first meaning is to divide the empty and the real. If the whole body is sitting on the right leg, the right leg is real and the left leg is empty. If the whole body is sitting on the left leg, the left leg is real and the right leg is empty. The virtual and the real can be divided, and then the rotation is light and effortless; if it can't be divided, the steps are heavy and sluggish, the independence is not stable, and it is easy to be influenced and subdued by people. At any time, it is an important point of Taijiquan to have one foot as the real bearing.

6. Neiguan point: according to traditional Chinese medicine, Qi gathers in the wrist (Neiguan point) and occurs in the labor palace. Therefore, it is common for people with martial arts to use the palm of the right hand (Laogong acupoint) to put it on the joint of the lower part of the left hand and the wrist (Neiguan acupoint). It is worth noting that the cross hands in squeezing, back flashing and closing all have the posture of touching Neiguan point.

3. Goutong Ren, Du two pulse: Taijiquan breathing, the top of the tongue maxilla requirements, its role is to Goutong Ren, Du two pulse. Human body has 12 meridians, plus Ren and Du Meridians, known as 14 meridians. "Ren" and "Du" are the meridians in the front and the back of the body respectively. To get through the "Ren" and "Du" meridians is to get through the "Zhou Tian" Ying Qi in Qigong. Generally speaking, women mainly practice renmai and enrich their blood, while men mainly practice Dumai and enrich their Qi.

Ren Mai starts from "Huiyin acupoint" and goes up to "Renzhong acupoint" from the front of the body along the center; Du Mai goes up along the spine from "Huiyin acupoint" to the top of the head and then goes through two eyes to "Renzhong acupoint". The reason why the acupoint in the human body can be used for emergency treatment is that it is the intersection of the two vessels of Ren and Du. Ren pulse controls blood, which is the sea of Yin pulse; Du pulse controls Qi, which is the sea of Yang pulse; which is the main pulse of 14 meridians.

Ren and Du Meridians play a leading role in the six yin meridians and six yang meridians in the 12 normal meridians respectively. When the 12 normal meridians are full of Qi and blood, they will flow over the Ren and Du Meridians. On the contrary, if the Ren and Du Meridians are full of Qi, they will also circulate and act on the 12 normal meridians. Therefore, "Ren and Du Meridians are all connected.". It can improve physique, strengthen muscles and bones, and promote circulation.

Therefore, when Taijiquan is used for body-building, if you can breathe from the top of the tongue to the upper jaw, it will be beneficial to you because it can connect the two vessels of Ren and Du.

3. The kidney protecting function of loosening waist and turning waist: it is a common understanding in the Chinese community to use Taijiquan to nourish the kidney in winter. The requirement of loosening waist and turning waist of Taijiquan is the key to protect the kidney of Taijiquan. The waist is the master of the whole body. It can loosen the waist and make the feet strong. The footwall is stable. Taijiquan's virtual and real changes are all generated by the rotation of the waist, so it is said that "the source of life meaning lies in the waist". Taijiquan's movements of turning waist and protecting kidney mainly include: Turning waist when cloud hand, kneading knee and bending step, rolling and squeezing, turning waist when jade lady shuttles and so on.
