The world's largest tiramisu: Italian town breaks the Guinness World Record

On May 27, 2015, gemona, a small town in northern Italy, successfully cooked the largest tiramisu in history; weighing 3015 kg, this huge coffee flavored dessert beat the previous Guinness world records record, more than 1000 kg a year more than the previous world record, which was set in March 2015.

The northern Italian town spent about 200 people to create the world's largest tiramisu, including cream and dessert chefs from all over the country, as well as 30 pastry chefs.

The previous Guinness world records record the largest tiramisu weighing 1969 kg (4340 LB 14.4 oz), which was set on March 31, 2015 at the Bay Hotel in Manama, Bahrain.

The project was started by several local businesses, including local cake shops in the area. About 20000 people came to see this huge tiramisu.
