the largest flounder in the world was caught by a 70 year old German fisherman in borungavik Fjord, Iceland, who caught the largest flounder in the world. The flounder weighs 220 kg (34st) and is recorded in the Guinness world record.

Hansel spent more than two hours, 2.5m (8-foot-2-inch) deep over bolungavik, in the fjords of Western Iceland, where he spent five people, eventually towing the monster reels of some 970 fish on the plane.
