Janelle de Rouen has a dog of the world's age in her home in New Iberia, Louisiana. She is a mixed little hound. On August 9, 2009, she celebrated her 26th birthday and became the oldest dog in the world. The audit documents prove that he was born in 1983, and his owners, Jennifer and Billy, are happy that their dog has become the oldest dog in the world.
"He's a very, very laid back dog," said Jennifer. "He will play with the children, but if they disturb him for too long, he will lose his mind.
"He doesn't have any fancy toys, just a little string and squeaky balls." She added: "he's very laid back. He likes to relax and keep his life simple."
