Smart bonobos burn marshmallows

These primates use very human like skills in three new episodes of the BBC television documentary monkey planet. Kanz, a bonobo living in the United States, has learned how to make a fire, light a wood pile with a match, and then bake marshmallows with a fire. It reveals how similar some primates are to us.

Kenz built the fire with dry branches and then skillfully lit it with matches.

When he skillfully forked a branch of cotton candy, his hands looked almost the same as those of his hands.

Kanz stood in a safe place baking marshmallows.
