Apple admits that hardware defects can cause an unexpected restart and can be repaired free of charg

Apple has confirmed that some of the iPhone 8's first-line production defects have led to the abnormal functions of these phones.

Apple admits hardware defects

This defect comes from the logic board, which can cause a 'small part' of the iPhone 8 to restart unexpectedly, lock the screen or fail to open. Apple will provide logic board repair service for free.

It comes at a time when apple is about to launch a new iPhone later this month. The company is expected to launch three new iPhones at its new product launch on September 12.

The iPhone was sold in the US, Australia, mainland China, China, Chinese mainland, Hongkong, India, Japan, Macao and New Zealand from September 2017 to March 2018. But the user must ensure that the product is in the original state (that is, the screen and other parts can not be physically damaged) in order to enjoy free logic board maintenance.

The validity period of the maintenance project is extended to 3 years after the first sale of the equipment. Users can go to Apple's official website to check whether their mobile phones are affected.
