(1) General potted sunflower, choose dwarf branch type is better, grow out in such a small space is better, and can open several flowers, ornamental period is longer, like our happy cannon bamboo, vitality, Patty sunflower is a good potted varieties, plant height is generally 20-40cm.
(2) If the plant height is higher, it's not impossible. It's just that the basin needs to be bigger, and the fertilizer and water are more abundant. 2. Flowerpot size: the choice of flowerpot depends on how big sunflower we want to grow! Anyway, even the smallest sunflower has requirements for flowerpots. A big flowerpot is always bad for sunflower. So how big flowerpot should we choose? In general, if you want to plant a sunflower in a pot, the diameter of the pot should be at least 10cm and the height should be 10cm. The more sunflowers planted in a flowerpot, the larger the flowerpot.
3. Soil selection: sunflower is resistant to barren and can grow in general soil. If there is a nutrient soil or culture soil is the best, because such a good soil fertility, good ventilation and water retention, sunflowers will naturally grow well.
4. Sowing depth: Ornamental Sunflower seeds are smaller than edible sunflower seeds, and larger than other grass seeds and flower seeds. Therefore, the sowing depth is generally 2 cm-1.
5. Watering requirements: water, as long as you can ensure the smooth emergence of seedlings, that is, the soil is wetter before emergence. 6. Fertilization management:
(1) Because potted sunflowers are limited by containers, the soil fertility is not as good as field planting. This requires the application of base fertilizer in the early stage of sowing, and the general 15cm diameter pot can be applied with about a spoonful of flower fertilizer.
(2) In the sunflower budding period, that is, when the head of the small flowers appear, apply fertilizer again. For fertilizer selection, the general flower fertilizer will explain the proportion and content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. We'd better choose the one with more nitrogen to grow stronger plants.
(3) If the growth condition of sunflower is not very good after the first fertilization, it means that the nutrient content of fertilizer is low, or the soil in the flowerpot itself is very poor, then you can apply fertilizer again in the middle.
7. Sunshine temperature: the suitable temperature for sunflower growth is 15-35 ℃, and it is better to have a long summer day. If the temperature is low in winter, you can choose the indoor balcony with heating.
