Breeding methods of Taxus chinensis (experience)

Under natural conditions, Taxus chinensis grows slowly and has poor reproductive capacity. It is recognized that Taxus chinensis is endangered in the world and its artificial propagation is not very optimistic. Because it is so precious, many flower friends are also trying to plant it, so many flower friends are asking about the cultivation methods of Taxus chinensis. Here are some experiences of a senior flower friend who has 10 years' experience in Taxus cultivation. These knowledge is very worthy of our learning and reference. It's time to have a look.

The cultivation method of Taxus chinensis is not particularly difficult to raise. Many people have looked up a lot of relevant information on the Internet and followed suit. But in the end, yew still died. Why? Let's take a look at my experience: ten years ago, a friend gave me a yew tree, but I didn't understand it at that time. I raised it very well. After changing jobs, like many people, I spent a lot of money looking up various materials, but I couldn't keep it alive.

Taxus this kind of plant is a tree, is to be planted in the ground, in addition to seedlings to appropriate shade, other growth period can grow very well. So the question is, how to raise the potted yew planted at home?

The simplest way is to summarize by yourself. If you go out and buy 10 seedlings, plant them in 10 small flower pots, put them in 10 different places in your home or office, or put several trees in the same place, but adopt different maintenance methods and finally live, you will find the other party's method. If you hang up, please feel sorry. Therefore, the best way to do this is to summarize it personally. There must be differences between different periods and different purchasing places. Absolutely can't feed a tree in front of you. If you buy a tree and raise it in the same way, you will surely be able to live. This is absolutely.

Well, there's a lot of nonsense. Let me talk about my own experience. We don't believe to read it on the Internet. Most of the strategies say that the soil should be ventilated and watered when it is dry. In fact, it is not said. Soil breathability? Flowerpots are breathable? Water the soil? What the hell?

1、 Let's talk about soil first. What peat soil, nutrient soil, rural soil, which kind of soil is the best to raise yew? It's easy. I don't know. It's OK to mix some of them together. If you buy a bigger one, it is really more difficult to raise than the young seedlings. Whether it is a southern fir or a Manchurian fir, there is a common ground, as follows.

Most novices will buy a slightly larger one, so it is strongly recommended that you do not go to the florist to buy one that has been put into the pot. Buy the kind of black plastic paper flowerpot with soil. After you come back, take down or tear the plastic paper and put it in the flowerpot. Don't deviate to one side. As far as possible, it should be straight and the trunk should be in the center of the pot.

The tree has been put into the flowerpot, and the next step is soil. Fill the gap at the edge of the pot with soil. Personally, I don't recommend that the filling on the edge be pressed tightly, so that the air permeability is not good. After filling the soil, water along the edge of the flowerpot, with less watering points, so that the soil ball in the middle slowly absorbs water. After watering, the filling on the edge will sink down, and some more will be filled in, and then some water will be poured.

Keep indoors, there is no strong wind, do not worry about the soil is not firm, the wind blows the tree crooked. The main purpose of this is to let the Taxus chinensis gradually extend its roots to the outside. When the roots are developed, they will become very firm with frequent soil filling and watering. At this time, you can move this pot of yew.

2、 Yew has to breathe. Everyone is right about this, but for Taxus chinensis, ventilation is particularly important. Keep it indoors, put it behind the glass, there is light, but the ventilation is not good. The simplest way is to buy a USB interface fan and a mobile phone charger when the doors and windows are closed.

Some people put yew on the balcony during the day to receive light and air, and moved back indoors at night, thinking about why they would die without lack of light and ventilation. Have you heard the saying "people move living trees to death"? The environment has a great impact on plants, so there can't be too much difference.

Sometimes I feel strange, some people say to see what my mother (or father) raised, very prosperous, why? The old people like to open windows for ventilation, like electric fans (ha ha, may love the electricity charge of air conditioning), which is very good for plants.

For us, working in the daytime (outdoor temperature, afraid of dust entering the house, too miserable to live in the city), and going home at night (cooling in summer and heating in winter), the environment has changed too much for Taxus chinensis, especially for small and medium-sized ones, and large trees can survive.

Ha ha, in fact, if the yew is kept indoors, it is suitable to be raised in the office. If it is raised by the window, with the window open and the air conditioner on, it can be maintained very well. Isn't it immoral? Joking~

3、 Then there is the question of watering. Some people say that spraying water to the leaves is wrong. The big mistake is to spray the leaves. The real water is sucked from the roots to the trunk and then sent to the leaves. The weather is too dry. The water evaporates without the leaves. Then we need to do this. The water will be balanced, and the water will be too much, which will destroy the original water transport mechanism.

What kind of water is very important to plants. Yew is no exception. Rainwater is the best. Find a bucket under the eaves to write more rainwater. Mix some overnight or sun dried tap water, and water will be better. If it rains when it rains and tap water is on sunny days, it is not good for plants. Let Taxus have an adaptability to water.

If you are not good at watering the soil, you can find a volume, put it on the edge of the basin, and slowly suck the water into the soil with a better water absorbing rope. Let's tell you, the best way to do this is not to rot the root, but also to keep the soil moist.

4、 When it comes to soil ventilation. Everyone says pottery pots, yes, but what if you only have plastic pots? If you don't turn off the machine, make more holes on the edge of the flowerpots. It depends on your technology. In my personal experience, I don't need to loosen the soil for yew too often. I don't believe it. When I buy it, the ball is very hard. Loosening the soil may destroy the contact between the root and the soil.

I raise a lot of plants, plastic pots are good-looking, cheap, but airtight, buy a garbage can, two or three yuan, that is, the thing with a plastic bag on your desk and your kitchen. The edge is transparent, the bottom is solid, and drill more holes under it. Plant plants in this, and then put them in the plastic flowerpot, set it up and water it.

5、 Finally, it's about fertilization. Fertilization is also very important for Taxus chinensis. No matter what fertilizer is applied, it is added to the inner wall of the flowerpot. Remember to keep away from Taxus chinensis. Some people say that potassium dihydrogen phosphate and ferrous sulfate are very good for Taxus chinensis, which is too right. But these two fertilizers depend on people's character. Although they are very cheap, it is not easy for you to buy real or pure fertilizers. We have no conditions to test.

Conclusion: if you keep yew for five years, or buy a big tree for more than five years, I advise you not to expect it to absorb formaldehyde and nicotine indoors. If you put it outdoors, it can grow well.
