Dolphin flowers are easy to raise. In Guangzhou, the flowering period of dolphins is from November to May and June of the next year. Because the leaves of dolphin flowers are thick and the flower branches are stretched out, they are suitable to be raised in hanging pots. Dolphin flowers don't like sunshine except in winter. Even if there is no direct sunlight all summer, they won't mind, because they are dormant in Guangzhou in summer, Its existence can be almost ignored.
I chose the pipe basin, which can be tied to the thick water pipe and kept in the corner. This corner can't be exposed to the sun in summer. There will be two or three hours of direct sunlight in winter. Dolphins like it very much.
Dolphins don't pick soil. I've tried garden soil, culture soil and cheap peat soil. It can adapt well, but it doesn't like sticky soil, and its roots don't like too humid environment. Therefore, we try to choose culture soil to plant dolphin flowers, which is loose and breathable.
Fertilizer, I haven't applied fertilizer. At most, I rub with other grass and flowers for a month or two during the flowering period. It doesn't care at all. Fertilization doesn't necessarily have any special effects, because it performs very well.
Water, the water content of dolphin flower plants is still quite high, so there is a lot of demand for water. Try not to dry it. It will roll leaves and lose spirit. I don't like to spray water on plants, so I water them directly in the basin. Try not to pour water on the plants. The amount is not large. It's hard to say. Anyway, the soil is breathable. You can pour it freely.
Sunshine, as I said earlier, it doesn't like strong sunshine. Especially in summer, the leaves will be burned, yellow and curly. Anyway, the dolphin flowers exposed to the sun are ugly. It can have no sunshine for seven or eight months a year. In the winter of its favorite Guangzhou, which is also its growing season, it is no problem to bask in the sun for a few hours. Once it is found that its leaves have yellow patches, it should be removed from the sun.

If you want to raise the effect of the flower ball above me, there is another very important thing to pay attention to: you must plant new branches every year! In early October every year, you can determine your cutting time according to the time when your dolphin babies begin to grow.
Use new branches. The new branches that haven't hit the top and picked the heart are about 10 cm long. Plant them as closely as possible. The flower ball above me is inserted with ten branches. It will grow into a big ball by itself.
If you don't want those old plants that have been planted for a long time, you can't have the flower balls on them. Because the old branches of dolphin flower will be lignified, it is difficult to germinate new buds, and the old root system is not enough to support the rapid growth of new branches. If you want to see the flower ball, pull out the old plants and insert new plants every year, and try not to pick the top and pick the heart, because no matter whether you pick it or not, it will divide the branches as it should, and you will not divide two more branches because you pick the heart. Picking the heart will only make many big scars on that branch, There is a pit in the position of the branch. If you have to pinch it, pinch it as soon as possible, and then let it grow new branches to cover the scar. If you are afraid of a pit, pinch it into a ball. As long as the growth rate is the same, it can eventually become a ball.
